Sustainability

Fashion leaves a lasting imprint on our planet. In an industry shaped by speed, overproduction, and waste, the environmental cost is impossible to ignore. We believe there is a more considered way forward. Guided by intention, restraint, and responsibility.

At St. MACI, we design with longevity in mind. We do not follow fleeting trends, and we do not discount. Instead, we create limited quantities of thoughtfully designed swimwear, crafted to be worn, loved, and returned to season after season. By producing fewer pieces with purpose, we reduce excess stock and unnecessary waste, while offering designs that feel timeless rather than temporary.

Our fabric choices are central to this commitment. We work exclusively with recycled swimwear materials, including premium Italian recycled yarns, Repreve® fibres and more. These textiles are chosen for their durability, softness, quality and performance delivering quality and comfort without compromising aesthetics. Choosing recycled materials often comes with higher costs, strict minimums, and limited availability, but these are challenges we willingly embrace in favour of a more responsible outcome.

Sustainability extends beyond fabric. Our packaging is recyclable or biodegradable wherever possible, carefully considered to minimise environmental impact while maintaining a refined presentation. We also consciously avoid plastic trims. Instead, we incorporate Murano glass, pearl, and metal detailing; These materials selected for their longevity, craftsmanship, and reduced reliance on plastic components.

We recognise that sustainability is an ongoing journey, not a fixed destination. While we are always evolving, we remain committed to making thoughtful choices at every stage of our process, from design and materials to production and packaging, with transparency, care, and accountability.

Creating fewer, better pieces is our way forward.
